The Athens premiere and panel discussion will be in The Lab at Ciné, 234 W. Hancock Ave., on August 15 from 6:00-7:30pm. The fundraising event features the Athens debut of the documentary from 6:00-6:30, followed by a panel discussion among the film’s director Alex Benoit, Linnentown first descendants Hattie Thomas Whitehead and Christine Davis Johnson, ACC Commissioner Russell Edwards, and Athens Reparations Action president Alys Willman. There is no admission charge, but tickets are limited. They can be picked up the day of the event at Cine. Donations to Athens Reparations Action are welcome and tax-deductible.
