The LinkUp Lounge is a monthly, laid-back social hangout hosted by LinkUp Chicago for Black same-gender-loving, gay, and bisexual men who want to connect, laugh, and be in community—without pressure or pretenses.
What is this?
The LinkUp Lounge is a casual drop-in space built for connection. It’s not a party and it’s not a program you have to sit through. It’s a place to pull up, vibe, play games, and meet folks who actually feel familiar.
Who should come?
• Black SGL, gay, and bisexual men
• Folks looking for community without judgment
• People who want to meet others without dating app energy
• Anyone tired of doing everything alone
You don’t need to know anyone already. You’ll leave knowing somebody.
What to expect:
• A relaxed, social atmosphere
• Games, music, and open conversation
• Food and drinks (non-alcoholic options always available)
• Space to move around, sit back, or jump into the mix
• LinkUp staff around if you want resources, info, or support
You can be loud or low-key. Both belong here.
Good to know:
• This is a social space, not a clinical one
• Come when you can, leave when you need
• No pressure to share personal business
• Respect for each other is the baseline
When: 4th Saturday of every month, 2–5 PM
Why it matters: Because joy, connection, and being seen are part of wellness too.
