Linking Families and Teens (LiFT)

Our goal is to help families connect, share values and navigate challenging conversations with confidence. We will be teaching skills to navigate tough talks, discussing adolescent brains, love languages, values & technology, sexual health, contraceptives, health resources and much more.

Breaks will be given throughout the course. We will meet twice, September 16th and September 23rd from 5-7:30 pm. This is a free course for teens and their supportive adults.

Light dinner and childcare for younger children provided.

Info: Together Time- Introductions, group norms, defining sexuality. Breakout (youth) communication, connection, tough talks. Breakout (adults) Setting the stage, SCOPE, adolescent brains. Together Time 2- Love Languages.

Info: Together Time 3- Thinking about values, texting, and technology. Break out (youth) Condoms, health resources, sexual health. Breakout (adults) Sharing personal/sexual values, being an askable adult. Together Time 4- Action plan, family qualities, connect and share, graduation.
