We know many families already have plans on Father’s Day itself. That’s one of the reasons we intentionally chose the day before.
Because meaningful connection rarely just happens on its own anymore. Most fathers and sons don’t get many chances to slow things down, put the phones away for a bit, and simply spend intentional time together.
At the same time, being a man in today’s world has become increasingly complex.
Most fathers are trying to lead without having had strong models themselves. Most sons are growing up without meaningful rites of passage, without much mentorship, and without many spaces where honest conversations between men happen naturally.
Most sons no longer accompany their fathers to work. Most fathers and sons rarely get the chance to slow down and talk honestly about life, pressure, relationships, masculinity, or what it actually means to become a good man.
LINEAGE was created to help change that.
This event is the first step in a larger initiative focused on father-son connection,
We’ll spend the afternoon walking together on Mount Royal, breaking into smaller father and son groups, exploring a few guided conversations, and creating space for a different kind of interaction than most fathers and sons normally get.
One thing we’ve noticed in father-son experiences is that something shifts when other fathers and sons are present. The pressure eases and conversations become more natural.
There’s something powerful about realizing other men and boys are trying to figure what it means to be a man in 2026.
And sons genuinely want to hear what their fathers think about being a man.
