It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that swing ♫♪ Join us for the 6-week block of LINDY HOP classes! ??We have two streams of classes - beginners and improvers - each 45 minutes long - followed by some social dancing ?
We will also catch up to have drinks and chat at our sponsor pub The Braes after ???

Beginners 8-8.45pm
ℹ️ Everyone is welcome, both students and non-students, whether you are a dancer or have never danced before! ? You don't need a partner and you don't need any special equipment. Just bring yourself, clothes/shoes you can move in and some water as swing can get pretty warm!

⌛ Swing dancing encompasses a variety of dances with Afro-American roots originating from Harlem, New York in the 1920s. They include partnered swing dances such as Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa or Collegiate Shag, but also vernacular Solo Jazz, all of them typically danced to the swing style of jazz music from the 1920s-1950s. At Dundee University Swing Dance we offer Lindy Hop and Charleston, but also authentic Solo Jazz or Blues!
