We are excited to announce a 6 session Thursday course in Lindy Hop (1 hour each session) featuring the wonderful Gunnhild & Ruben.
Lindy Hop and Charleston are African American originated dances from the 1920s-1930s, heavily connected with the Harlem Renaissance and ballrooms like The Savoy. The styles developed alongside blues and jazz music of the era, and especially big band swing music.
Here’s a link with lots of different expressions of social Lindy Hop, also featuring Ruben & Gunnhild’s dancing in action:

𝗕𝗶𝗼:
Gunnhild and Ruben are Lindy Hop – and Boogie Woogie – dancers located in Bergen. Today Lindy Hop, Boogie Woogie and Solo Jazz play a big role in their lives.
Teaching and practicing in Bergen in addition to traveling to various international festivals for teaching, competing and taking classes take up much of their time.
They both have a strong passion for teaching, performing, competing and especially social dancing - where the goal during the social night is to avoid leaving the floor for as long as humanly possible.
