***We are cancelling this month's Lindy 1 series but are planning to offer it in the future.***This four-week series focuses on the signature move of Lindy Hop - the swing out! We'll get comfortable with 8 count footwork and learn the connection and momentum that make swing outs exhilerating. Whether you've worked on swing outs before or they're brand new for you, this class will help you hone your skills. We highly recommend dancers take this class several times to build a strong lindy hop foundation. Or if you’ve been dancing for years, this a great opportunity for a tune up!
This is a Monday class, so we'll have at least 30 minutes after class to social dance, practice, and answer questions, so plan to stay until 8:00 if you can!
Prerequisite: 1-3 months of beginning swing, or instructor approval. You should be comfortable with the triple step, the basics of swing partner connection, and common moves like an underarm pass or tuck turn. Unsure you're ready? Just ask a Vermont Swings instructor at any upcoming event.
