Frequently honored as Bassist of the Year by the Jazz Journalist’s Association and Jazztimes, Linda May Han Oh is best known to DACAMERA audiences for her standout appearances with Vijay Iyer and Coltrane 100. With multiple critically-acclaimed recordings to her name, Oh returns as a bandleader, leading her dynamic quartet including pianist Fabian Almazan.
Born in Malaysia and raised in Western Australia, Linda May Han Oh has received many awards including a 2022 Deutscher Jazz Preis. She has performed and recorded with artists including Pat Metheny, Kenny Barron, Joe Lovano, Dave Douglas, Terri Lyne Carrington and Geri Allen. Linda May Han Oh’s most recent recording, Strange Heavens, was included in best of the year lists from JazzTimes, Jazzwise and All About Jazz.
