Lincolnshire Skies – a musical tribute to the Dambusters – Saturday 2nd May 2026 – 7.30pmPerformed by Steve Walker’s Big Swing Band, the main feature of the concert is Lincolnshire composer Jonathan Nowell’s highly acclaimed Lincolnshire Skies suite for big band, vocalists and narrator.
Jonanthan’s Lincolnshire Skies suite is at once evocative, moving and uplifting, in equal measures. Capturing the national spirit and amazing bravery surrounding the Dambusters incredibly daring wartime raids. This is a very special musical event not to be missed.
To set the 1940’s mood, the evening starts with a tribute to Glenn Miller and many more beloved wartime classic swing numbers, with the Lincolnshire Skies suite following in the second half.
1940’s dress is welcome at this event.
