Workshop One (Friday Night): CALLED TO LEAD
David Dillon, worship pastor, spiritual director
Who and in what way has God called you to lead?
King David’s leadership, as described in Psalm 78, provides profound insights into godly leadership. This workshop will explore the dual aspects of integrity and skillful leadership that David exemplified.
In our time together, we will delve into what it means to be called by God as a worship leader. This workshop is designed for current and aspiring worship leaders who seek to understand their divine calling and enhance their leadership abilities.
Through an in-depth examination of relevant Biblical passages, we will address two critical aspects of leadership:
• Integrity of Heart: Explore how to cultivate inner health and spiritual integrity, ensuring that the unseen parts of your life are aligned with God’s will.
• Skillful Hands: Learn practical strategies to develop the skills necessary for effective leadership within your local congregation.
By the end of this workshop, you will:
• Gain clarity on your unique calling as a worship leader.
• Develop a deeper understanding of the importance of integrity and skill in leadership.
• Acquire practical tools to enhance both your personal spiritual health and your leadership capabilities.
The workshop will be Biblically based, grounded in the teachings of Psalm 78. It will include practical, real-world strategies for nurturing both personal integrity and leadership skills. You will also have the opportunity to engage with peers and experienced leaders through discussion and activities.
Join us to uncover how you can lead with integrity and skill, just as King David did. Embrace your calling and transform your leadership approach to inspire and guide your congregation effectively.
