Lincoln Park Zoo Photo Walk - Sponsored by Tamron

Come join Professional Nature Photographer, Roman Kurywczak, as he leads you on a photo walk through the Lincoln Park Zoo, sponsored by Tamron and PROCAM.

On this morning workshop, Roman will teach you how to set your camera for any lighting situation. They work with every camera brand! A basic knowledge of changing your camera settings is encouraged and all levels of experience are welcome. A lens in the 400-600mm range is best for this photo walk. If you do not have those focal lengths, but still want to participate, Tamron will be there providing loaner lenses.

We will meet at 9:15 am at the zoo’s EAST entrance on Cannon Dr. This is a great time to borrow a Tamron lens! Roman will also review the settings before the photowalk begins at 9:30 a.m. There is paid parking available on the east side of the zoo at 2400 N Cannon Dr with rates running $20-35 for the day. Free street parking is available (in short supply) on Stockton.

Bring your camera, a fully charged battery, a memory card, and a lens in the 400-600mm range. Roman is teaching handheld. DO NOT BRING A TRIPOD OR MONOPOD AS THEY ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE ZOO. The walking trails are pretty even, but this is an outdoor event so take adequate precautions and wear comfortable shoes. This photowalk concludes at 11:30 am. This is a weather permitting event, subject to change.

Roman has taught these techniques for the last 20+ years. His philosophy is to keep it simple. Come join PROCAM, Tamron, and Roman for this special event.
