Tea, Belonging and Connection
「得閒飲茶」(dak1 haan4 jam2 caa4)
Before LIN:K Projects travels to Tokyo for its first exhibition, we invite you to join us for an informal afternoon of tea, conversation and connection in London.
This gathering brings together artists, researchers, cultural practitioners, designers, students, and friends to share stories, ideas and experiences around belonging, community and everyday encounters.
In Cantonese, the phrase 「得閒飲茶」(dak1 haan4 jam2 caa4) literally means “have tea when you have time”, but it is often used as an invitation to stay connected, meet again, and continue a conversation.
Inspired by this spirit, Session No.001 takes tea as a starting point for dialogue.
Three teas will be shared during the gathering, representing three places that shape the current journey of LIN:K:
~ Canton ~ London ~ Tokyo
Participants are also welcome (but not required) to bring a tea that is meaningful to them. A small Tea Archive will be created as part of the event.
The afternoon will include:
• Introduction to LIN:K Projects
• Preview of AI520, LIN:K’s upcoming Tokyo exhibition
• Tea and conversation on belonging and connection
• Open networking and exchange
• Community Tea Archive
Whether you are an artist, researcher, curator, student, or simply curious to meet new people, you are warmly welcome.
Come for the tea, stay for the conversation.
Free admission. Registration required due to limited capacity.
