Presenter Roberto Pietraroia will discuss the fundamentals of limoncello making, dispel common myths, and explain the importance of balancing sweetness, acidity, and alcohol to create an exceptional limoncello.
About Roberto Pietraroia
Roberto Pietraroia is the former owner of Abbe Road Vineyard, a 30-acre vineyard located near the southern shore of Lake Erie that cultivated five varieties of wine grapes. A winemaker and viticulturist, Robert currently serves on the Executive Board of the Northern Ohio Wine Guild and is a past president of the Casa Italia Foundation of Ohio. He has been producing wine and distilled beverages for more than 45 years, and his family is widely recognized for pioneering the American style of oak-aged grappa.
Roberto has presented numerous programs on Italian American culture and traditions, with a particular focus on grape growing, winemaking, and grappa production. Over the past decade, he has lectured at the Western Reserve Historical Society and the Italian American Museum of Cleveland, sharing his knowledge of traditional Italian food and beverage practices.
