About this Event

For one night only, Ajua presents Lime & Lotus Dinner, a five-course tasting menu celebrating the bold, vibrant flavors of Burma and Mexico. This special communal dining experience brings together comforting curries, slow-braised meats, and coastal seafood in a menu designed to feel both familiar and unexpected.

The evening begins with platha and blue corn tortilla served with chicken curry dip, black beans, and cheese, followed by laphet thoke with roasted corn, a Burmese fermented tea leaf with sesame, peanuts, sunflower seeds, avocado, lime, crispy garlic, shrimp, tortilla shards, and fish sauce. The menu continues with a duck tamale featuring Burmese-style braised duck, chickpeas, queso fresco, coconut-tomato curry sauce, pickled onion, and crispy onion. For the main course, Mexican-style braised short rib meets Burmese-style poached lobster, served with elote, potato fritter, mango, tamarind, and five-spice sauce. The dinner concludes with Flan de Jaggery, a Burmese palm sugar and coconut milk flan served with crispy churros, chili caramel sauce, and candied cashews.

An optional wine and cocktail pairing will be available for $30 per person. Vegetarian options are available for all courses with advance notice.
