Clowns! Looking for a new bit? Need to workshop an existing bit into a larger piece so it can eventually blossom an act or even a full solo show?
LIL’ PIECES is for clowns who are ready to take their work to the next level and engage a real audience in the context of a curated show.
Somewhere in that messy middle between discovering a new bit and putting up a full-ass show, there are a million little pieces of clown. Your hosts Linzi, Lexie and Liz have long dreamt of creating a space for those beautiful, weird lil' pieces, and we're finally doing it.

WHO IS THIS MIC FOR?
All clowns and clown-curious folks are welcomed to this mic! For example: tentative improvisers who constantly ask their clown friends “WTF IS clown?!?” Assuming they’re ready to find out, totally welcomed to the stage! Character performers who wanna clown it up in character and interact with the audience and be live-directed — definitely welcomed.
Less welcomed: Gross stuff. As in, please keep all bodily fluids inside your body. And leave messy materials (e.g., food, glue, acrylic paint) in your car/backpack/anywhere that isn’t the Lyric stage. Seriously, we promised the theater.
HOW DO I GET STAGE TIME?
If you’d like to workshop a lil’ bit OR find a new one on stage, just come to the show and throw your name in the hat for a spot in the open live direct!
(And bring a prop. Anything will do. Or we’ll lend you one.)
