Our program showcases the voices of 20th century Russian and Ukrainian composers Prokofiev, Shostakovich, Klebanov, and Sivestrov, as well as contemporary Ukrainian-Canadian composer Anna Pidgorna. Through their impassioned music we feel the human suffering and pain that war creates and also the hope and aspiration for peace to come.Featured Performers: Cvetozar Vutev - violin. Martin Krátký - cello, Naomi Cloutier - piano. With special guest: Rachel Casponi - soprano.
