ABOUT DESERT CREEK HONEY:
Blake Shook is the founder and owner of Desert Creek Honey, one of Texas' premier honey producers and beekeeping operations. His journey began as a teenager with a passion for bees, building beehives by hand and bottling honey in a small workshop he constructed himself from reclaimed materials. What started with a handful of hives and deliveries made from his grandfather's pickup truck quickly grew into a thriving business serving customers across Texas and beyond.
A lifelong advocate for beekeeping, Blake has held leadership positions with the Texas Beekeepers Association, the American Beekeeping Federation, and the National Honey Board, helping promote both honey and pollinator education nationwide. Today, Desert Creek Honey manages tens of thousands of hives, yet Blake remains a beekeeper at heart, continuing to work with bees and share his passion for sustainable beekeeping, honey production, and the vital role pollinators play in our food system. His mission is simple: connect people to the remarkable story behind every jar of honey.
