Lights On, Plates Full: Lights On Afterschool Celebration

On October 22, Lights On, Plates Full joins communities across the country in celebrating Lights On Afterschool, the national event shining a spotlight on the importance of afterschool programs and the opportunities they create for young people.
Track 15 will come alive with an inspiring evening that puts Rhode Island youth center stage. Young people from participating nonprofit organizations will share their talents, ideas, and accomplishments through live performances, art and creative displays, STEM demonstrations, and interactive exhibits.
Guests will also hear the stories behind the seven Signature Lights On Plates, created through collaborations between Track 15 chefs and their nonprofit partners, while enjoying opportunities to dine, connect, give, and learn more about the organizations making a difference for Rhode Island youth every day.
Bringing together families, educators, nonprofit leaders, businesses, sponsors, elected officials, and community members, the celebration demonstrates what is possible when an entire community invests in its young people.
On October 22, we’ll join the nation in turning the lights on—and show Rhode Island just how brightly our young people can shine.
