How can learning about different traditions help build understanding and connection? Join PBS Utah and the Utah Cultural Celebration Center for a free event celebrating Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights.
In partnership with the IJ & Jeanné Wagner Jewish Community Center, this family-friendly evening invites community members of all backgrounds to learn about and experience Hanukkah traditions. Together, we’ll enjoy clips from the film Celebration of Hanukkah and explore the customs and meanings behind this holiday.
Color your own menorah, take home a dreidel, and join in on a short singalong featuring traditional songs you may or may not know! And don’t leave without tasting a sweet jelly donut, inspired by the sufganiyot traditionally enjoyed during the holiday.
Whether Hanukkah is part of your own tradition or you’re learning about it for the first time, this event offers a welcoming space for sharing, learning, and celebrating together.
This event is free but space is limited! Visit www.pbsutah.org/events to RSVP.
This event is part of our monthly Shared Stories Series in partnership with the Utah Cultural Celebration Center.
