Did you know that Indiana has a state insect, and that insect is the firefly! Join us Thursday, June 13th on a lightning bug hike! Tabby Flinn, our ANR Educator will lead the hike. Learn about the 43 species of fireflies we have in Indiana, and what they're up to in the month of June every year. This hike will be about 1.5 miles, and will depart from the Ruble Park West Parking Lot at 9:45PM. The address for that parking lot is: 8353-8429 S Cullen Rd, Terre Haute, IN 47802. Because this is a night hike, it will be dark. Please bring a flashlight or headlamp to navigate the trail. Please do not bring pets, as we might encounter some night time wildlife on the trails.
