Join the Midwest Trust Center and Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art for the 2024 Light Up the Lawn Concert Series featuring some of the best live music Kansas City has to offer. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets (no alcohol) for these fun events! Come early to grab a bite to eat at one of our local food trucks! Free; no reservations required. Mariachi Estrella KC is a Kansas City-based mariachi band founded by Rafael Ornelas in 2017. Classic and contemporary mariachi music for all ages.
Composed of six musicians, they bring the joy of traditional Mexican music to private and public events all across the Midwest, including at a halftime performance for the Kansas City Chiefs.
