You are invited to join LGBTQ Faith Leaders and Faithful at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral. Join Dean Penny Bridges and other Faith Leaders as we gather together, in person to celebrate our faith and resilience and remember those we have lost in the past year. Joining us for Light up the Cathedral 2021 will be Erica Pinto, Jamul Indian Village Chairwoman who will offer a Kumeyaay Land Acknowledgment and Ral Christman Jr. who will perform a traditional Kumeyaay blessing. Music will also be provided by the San Diego Gay Men’s Chorus and the San Diego Queer Youth Chorus. After the service the Cathedral will be lit in rainbow colors.

The Light of Pride Award
Presented by St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral and San Diego Pride, the Light of Pride award seeks to recognize religious and community organizations that have made significant contributions to the LGBT Community. The 2021 Light of Pride Award will be presented during the Interfaith Celebration. This annual celebration is a Pride highlight and will reach capacity.
About St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral
St. Paul's Cathedral is an Episcopal located in the Bankers Hill neighborhood in the city of San Diego. It is the formal seat of the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of San Diego. It traces its origins to the first Protestant church in San Diego, founded in Old Town in 1853. The Very Reverend Penny Bridges is the Dean of the Cathedral.
