Light Painting Photography Workshop
About this Event
Discover the magic of light painting, a fun long-exposure photography technique that uses handheld light sources like flashlights, LED wands, or glow sticks to create glowing shapes, vibrant light trails, and illuminated portraits! In this hands-on workshop, darkness becomes your canvas and light becomes your paintbrush.
Participants will learn the basics of light painting, including a quick introduction to manual camera settings for beginners. No photography experience is required, and you do not need to bring a camera to participate. Cameras are welcome, but Alicia will have a camera set up so everyone can join in and help create the images.
Light painting is an exciting and creative activity for all ages. Because every image turns out differently, the process is full of surprise, inspiration, and instant gratification.
This workshop will be led by Alicia Valle, a self-taught photographer with over 15 years of photography experience. Alicia has photographed people during many special moments in their lives and is the owner of a small Pomona-based photography business. She began teaching photography in 2017 and enjoys helping others explore photography in a fun, approachable way.
