Light Night Wigan returns to kick off the festive season. Be surprised at every turn as you view our hand-picked illuminated art installations from some of the best national and international artists. There will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained including storytelling, craft workshops and plenty of photograph opportunities to capture those precious memories of a magical evening together.

The event is free to attend but you will need to book a ticket. The time slot you're booking for is your arrival time, the trail itself will take around 90mins to explore, but feel free to wander, meander and take the artworks in at your own pace. The event will close at 10pm.

Mesnes Park will be closed to non-ticket holders on the evenings of 21st-23rd November, you will need a ticket to enter the site, so please make sure you book enough tickets for all members of your party.

Tickets will be scanned upon entry to the park. Once tickets sell out you are invited to sign up to a waiting list and will be notified when tickets become available. Tickets are free and we reserve the right to cancel any tickets that are being sold on to third parties for a profit.

Food and drink will be available in the park and from local businesses on the evenings of the trail. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to keep up to date with event announcements and information.

The trail site is accessible for wheelchair users and pushchairs. Please be advised there may be uneven surfaces in certain areas of the trail. Only assistance dogs will be permitted on site.

On Saturday 23rd November we are offering a relaxed timeslot between 4-5pm for those who find events daunting or may find it hard to be in an unfamiliar, crowded or loud environment. THIS SESSION IS NOW SOLD OUT.
