Join Sony Alpha Portrait Photographer Niah Aldrich for a vibrant 2-day workshop built around bold creativity, storytelling, and community. It'll be an incredibly action-packed, hands-on experience designed to inspire, elevate, and bring photographers together.
Over two immersive days, you’ll dive deep into the art of storytelling and building visually cohesive portrait shoots. Whether you're refining your portfolio or exploring new creative techniques, this workshop is designed to inspire and elevate.
Learn how to bring a styled portrait concept to life—from vision to execution. We’ll cover how to build a visually cohesive shoot through styling, lighting, and creative direction, even on a tight budget.
Niah will guide attendees through:
- Working with models and building trust
- Styling within your budget
- Choosing locations or building simple sets
- Using creative lighting tools: gels, modifiers, lens filters, LED lights, natural light (and possibly flash)
- Shooting in real time with Sony Alpha gear
- Camera settings and gear choices for portraits
Speaker Bio: Niah Aldrich is a Kansas City photographer passionate about using color, light, and community-driven education to help creatives level up their portrait work.
