As you enter the door, you will be soothed by soft music and lighting in a laid back living room vibe. Candles adorn the space. It's the ultimate conscious dance party!

The opening circle for the Dance is short but powerful, featuring a sound bath by Didgeridoo artist, David Yates, and a little bit of breathwork guided by Breathwork master Jaitara to ground let go of the outside world, and bring us into full connection and presence.

Then throughout the night, David will jam along to the playlist with his Didgeridoo and Djembe drum.

Dancers rave about the playlist. The music flows building up to ecstatic beats then gradually easing down near the end of the journey.

Unlike other ecstatic dance events where the music is often mostly instrumental, this night will take you on a journey of various genres with one flowing into the other. The music will consist of world beat instrumental, tribal, a little dash of Latin dance music, a touch of western Kirtan dance, and more...

Guaranteed to be an evening rich with conscious connection, sheer playfulness, joy, and heart opening celebration.

We will dance away our density, dance our hearts open, and express our joy through movement, in the spirit of community. Be in the flow, dance your wild side out, express you! This is a freestyle dance for you to play and do your own thing on the dance floor, as you dance to your heart wide open.

*We encourage the community connection and the meeting of new friends, so very low volume talking in the cozy sitting areas is welcome, and cannot be heard through the music. Just stay conscious of this, so the dancer's journey on the dance floor remains uninterrupted and without distraction.

8:00 - Doors open

8:00 - 8:30- Settle in, meet & mingle

8:30 - Opening circle begins, with a special guest artist, connection, breath & Didgeridoo Sound Healing with David Yates.

9:00 - Dance begins

11:25 - Closing Circle

11:30 - Goodnight

WHAT TO WEAR:

- Deodorant... please be kind to your fellow dancers, even if deodorant is not your thing... it's just for one night, and we deeply appreciate it. :-)

- Dress in what ever way feels good for you for dance... yoga wear, sweats, comfy dress, etc.

***Shoes must be removed at the door, no exceptions. If you have feet issues bring socks, or indoor shoes such as slippers, but definitely no shoes worn outside can be worn in the dance space.

WHAT TO BRING:

- Bring your own water

- An open heart

- Pillow... optional. There will be some seating for taking breaks when desired, but our seating is limited, so if your tushy needs a cushy, bring one with you. :-) You may also want a cushion for under your head during the sound bath during opening circle.

*If you are experiencing any flu symptoms or have had contact with anyone who is, thank you for staying home. You can pay here in advance, or at the door. Capacity is 60 people.

We are creating a specific vibe and community connection that you will take into the dance, that is why we advise that you come early. It's so beautiful to merge into this flow. Plus the sound bath at the beginning is so wonderful!

So thanks for arriving early. This way, we are all together in a state of presence, leaving the outside world outside for these few magical hours.

We are blessed to have our resident musical artist David Yates with us once again. His energy and artistry is a huge contribution toward the uniqueness and amazing experience of this event.

David is a Master Didgeridoo player and mentor. He is also brilliant on the Djembe drum. He is the opening circle and the perfect start to guide you to fully connect to your body and leave the outside world behind for these few hours, as his Didgeridoo penetrates through your body and soul.

Then he jams to the playlist throughout the night on the Didg and Djembe, maintaining an element of live music throughout the evening.

David is also a huge lover of dance. When he's not playing one of his instruments, he plays with us on the dance floor contributing to keeping the energy of dance in an ongoing energetic flow.

I am Jaitara. I have had a love of dance since I was a small child. I trained in various forms throughout my life... ballet, modern, jazz, African, belly dance, and Latin.

I geek out when it comes to creating the playlist, and at every event, as the dancers leave we hear, "what a great playlist!"

My primary profession is: Author, Mentor & Facilitator of women's empowerment, sacred sexual healing and enlightenment. My modalities are breathwork, transformational dance, and revolutionary guided processes. I love how dance is such a powerful tool for healing, heart opening, connecting with spirit, one's soul, and with one another.

These Light Activation Dance Parties are a love project for me and an opportunity to crank up the music, let the wild out, feel the joy of movement and share this with others in the spirit of conscious community and connection grounded in love.
