Lifestyle Medicine for Musculoskeletal Pain

Dr George Ampat, a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in non-operative management of musculoskeletal conditions (https://ampat.co.uk/), and

Dr Deepak Ravindran, a Consultant Pain Physician, specialising in drug-free and intervention-free pain management (https://deepakravindran.co.uk/),

Have teamed together to create a new educational resource. The course would be a refresher on musculoskeletal medicine and explore lifestyle measures to treat bone, joint and muscle pain.

Learning objectives

1. Diagnose and provide evidence-based non-operative management of common musculoskeletal disorders of the Neck, Shoulder, Elbow, Wrist, Hand, Lower Back, Hip, Knee, Foot and Ankle within a 10-minute consult.
2. Improve patient care.
3. Empower Practitioners to handle MSK issues without referral to secondary care.
4. Tackle the long waiting list and motivate patients to self-manage.
