The Ella Redkey Pool will be offering an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification Course in September 2023Class Dates:
• Thursday, September 14th: 4pm – 7pm
• Friday, September 15th: 4pm – 7pm
• Saturday, September 16th: 9am – 5pm
• Thursday, September 21st: 4pm – 7pm
• Friday, September 22nd: 4pm – 7pm
• Saturday, September 23rd: 9am – 5pm
To successfully complete the course you must attend and participate in all classes and successfully pass a skills evaluation and written evaluation.
*IMPORTANT* Participants will be in close contact with other Lifeguarding participants in order to learn and successfully demonstrate life-saving skills. Examples of close proximity activities include, but are not limited to: in-water rescues, CPR, AED, and first aid.
Masks will be required for the classroom portion of the course.

The American Red Cross Lifeguard Manual and a resuscitation mask are included with the class fee.
The Lifeguard Certification Course will take place at the Ella Redkey Pool for the in-water portion and Historic City Hall (226 S. 5th Street) for the classroom portion of the course. As the date gets closer we will email you a schedule.
