Develop skills for life, become a certified lifeguard!- - CERTIFICATION - -
This blended learning program combines online learning with in-person skills sessions where you will practice skills and demonstrate competency. Please plan to complete all eLearning modules at least two days prior to your first in-person skills session.
Participants that pass the class will receive certifications in CPR/AED for the professional rescuer, Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid.
Age: Must be 15 by end date of session
Sessions: October 8-10, 2021
- Friday, 4:00 - 8:00 pm
- Saturday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
(lunch break from 12:00-1:00 pm)
- Sunday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Fee: $185 Members / $270 Community
includes training manual & rescue mask
Location: Cool Pool at the Y
2040 53rd Street, Moline
Pre-requisites:
• 300-yard swim, freestyle & breaststroke
• 2 minutes treading water using legs only
• Timed 10 pound brick retrieval
Must attend all sessions in entirety

This lifeguarding review class is designed to help you update your skills while also extending your certification for another two years.
Current lifeguards looking to recertify must bring proof of current certification to class.

Fee: $90 Members / $130 Community
