🏊 Lifeguard Certification & Recertification Courses! Learn life-saving skills from top-notch American Red Cross Certified Instructors. Ready to take the plunge? Don't forget, you need to wear a swimsuit. Goggles are optional but make sure to bring a towel and a packed lunch. A 6-hours online training is required prior to the first in-person session.
Lifeguarding Certification Pre-Requisites:
• 15 years of age
• Swim 150 yards using the front crawl, breaststroke, or a combination of both; Swimming on the back or on the side is not permitted, swim goggles are allowed during the swim-tread-swim sequence. Maintain position at the surface of the water for 2 minutes by treading water using only the legs. Swim 50 yards using the front crawl, breast stroke, or a combination of both.
• Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds: Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. The face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are not allowed. Surface dive (feet-first or head-first) to a depth of 7 to 10 feet to retreive a 10 pound object. Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point, holding the object at the surface with both hands and keeping face at or near the surface. Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
To receive certification, individuals must:
• Correctly perform the physical skills required by the class.
• Pass 1 multiple choice tests with at least 80% accuracy.
• Demonstrate competency in all critical skills.
• Successfully complete 2 final skill scenarios.
• An online portion of 6 hours must be completed prior to first in-person class session.

Thursday - Sundays, April 30 – May 3
Thursday - Sundays, May 14 – 17
Class Times:
Thursday & Friday, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Age: 15+
Registration Fee: Full certification is $200 and full recertification is $125
