With summer on its way, it’s the perfect time to get outdoors, hop on two wheels, and join the fun at the LifeCycle Bike Festival! This festival offers something for everyone, from seasoned cyclists to complete beginners. It’s a celebration of the bicycle and all its joys!There are over 20 fun and exciting activities, with lots of spot prizes planned for all ages, including:
• Santa Cycling Convoy – with best dressed spot prizes
• Novelty races
• E-bike trials
• Best-dressed bike contest
• Obstacle course
• Blind tasting on the Great Taste Trail
• Popcycle – ice blocks sold from a bike!
The Santa Cycling Convoy is a first for Nelson and will start at noon from the Victory Community Centre - were encouraging people to dress up in festive gear. It concludes with a bring-your-own picnic on the big field at BroadGreen Intermediate. This is a fantastic way to spread holiday cheer and celebrate biking in style!
