This is a FREE day-long professional development workshop best suited for middle and high school Civics, Government, U.S. History, and Social Studies teachers with six PD credit hours available. Participants will interact with Bill of Rights Institute staff and fellow teachers in curricular workshop sessions and experience a live presentation from an esteemed scholar expert. The focus is on 20th century U.S. History with an exploration of how the American experiment plays out in the foreign and domestic policy of modern America. Inspired by the new digital resource, "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness," this in-person PD will combine new content with an in-depth examination of recent history as well as recommended pedagogical strategies.
