Life Drawing with HappeningInMCR
About this Event
After visiting the Portico Library, Spunk Rock was inspired by the exhibition’s ambition to connect with the library’s past, present, and future. This sparked an interest in ideas of archiving, cataloguing, and organising the everyday materials associated with libraries such as books, paper, boxes, envelopes, and string.
Responding to the exhibition’s theme of Everything and Nothing, Spunk Rock will work within an evolving installation of blank paper, white boxes, and empty envelopes. As the session unfolds, additional white objects connected to the physical language of books and archives will gradually emerge into the space.
Throughout the session, the environment surrounding the model will slowly transform from order into accumulation and chaos, despite the complete absence of written information.
The session invites participants to reflect on materiality, memory, and the curiosity which exists between preservation and emptiness.
Spunk Rock will be posing nude.
