Easels / drawing boards and seating are provided. You are very welcome to bring your own materials, but as we are a museum space, we kindly ask that you use dry media only. Please avoid wet media such as liquid ink and paint. Conté can be messy, so we recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting marked.
Tutor: Led by Kelly Sweeney, a multi-disciplinary artist and arts educator from East London. Kelly studied Fine Art at Nottingham Trent and Chelsea School of Art, where she completed her MA. She has extensive experience in art education and currently works as a teacher, freelance facilitator and practising artist.
Models: The session will feature two professional life models over the course of the day, who will present a range of expressive and dynamic poses suitable for artists of all levels. Please note the models will pose nude. Photographing the models is not permitted.
Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided. Please bring your own lunch, or there are plenty of cafés nearby.
Accessibility: Gallery 1, Gallery 3, Gallery 4, the Archive and the toilet are fully accessible. Gallery 2 in the basement is not wheelchair-accessible due to the building's Victorian layout. A wheelchair ramp to the entrance can be provided on request.
Cancellations: Refunds are available up to 7 days before the workshop. We are unable to offer refunds after this point.
Open Door Policy: Please contact us if the fee is a barrier to attending. We offer discounted places for students, under-25s, those receiving benefits and those on low incomes.
