Hailing from the Scottish Borders via Glasgow, Life Coach aka Jamie Cameron blends lo-fi beats, melodic synths and fuzzy guitars with spoken word vocals in which he discusses topics ranging from premonitions and politics to self help culture. Following on from his debut album 'Scottish Cringe' and follow-up singles 'Seven-Three-O' and 'I Watched Planes Land', Life Coach is due to release his upcoming single 'Hero in the Season of the Gun' in June 2024.

Formed in the sepia-toned days of 2015, Wendell Borton are finally approaching sonic perfection. After a few years off, painstaking recording sessions and with a refined lineup, the boys have perfected the loudQUIETmuchlouder sound they so adore. A long-awaited LP on the way, engineered by Edinburgh craftsman Mark Morrow.

The musical therapy of a philosophy student with a crippling level of self-awareness. Taking a conversational tone, his music can be hopefully wholesome, with songs about his love for his dog and self-acceptance; while at other times it is brazenly dark with themes covering addiction, self-hatred and repeated relationship failure. Under various guises, most notably December ’91, Craig has built up an impressive collection of DIY releases (Spotify, Bandcamp etc). Often gentle and lulling, sometimes furious and thrashing, the pop melodies which will stick with you can seem to undermine the emotional complexity involved (à la Sparklehorse and The Pixies). Not for everyone, but it may just give you something you didn’t know you needed.
