As part of the Holland Talks lecture, Dr. Moogega Cooper will lead an inspiring conversation and activity for space explorers of all ages.Have you ever wondered if we’re alone in the universe?
In this experience, we’ll explore what life might look like beyond our planet, and how clues from Earth can help guide that search.
We’ll dive into extreme places on Earth – like dry deserts and boiling hot vents deep in the cold ocean – where extreme life has been found to thrive in conditions that would be deadly to most life.
These examples give us hints about where life might survive on other worlds, in our solar system and beyond.
We’ll also highlight some of the exciting discoveries made by Mars rovers who are our robotic explorers, helping us to answer the question if life ever existed in our neighboring planet.
The experience will conclude with hands-on paper rocket making activity facilitated by Dr. Cooper and Holland Talks moderator Noni Williams.
