Life Between Buildings @ Soho House

Life Between Buildings is a series of architecture and design-themed film screenings for non-specialists. People and buildings have always been connected: there are many places like Rome, Barcelona Venice or New York, that have active street life, while other less fortunate cities can look like ghost towns, why?

We decided to penetrate the veil of mystery surrounding the subject and reality of architecture and its vital relevance in our lives. Life Between Buildings is a series of movie screenings that narrates this long-lasting relationship showing the faces and stories behind the architecture that is all around us.

This series of selected movies explains why some of these places are inherently attractive to people and draws them to walk and linger in the space.

The aim of Life Between Buildings is to reflect about how public spaces are used, why, and what designers can do to improve cities, but it also shows the reality and stories that happen in the towns, and how architecture itself has a deep impact in our life.

THE MOVIE: Landskating | 30' | VOS English.

The Landskating documentary, directed by Kike Barberá, written by Oscar Blasco, Sergi Carulla and Kike Barberá, and produced by SCOB, was shot between 2013 and 2015. During this period, citizen participation processes were carried out, conducted by youngsters themselves, as well as the construction of the first three urban sports parks in the city of Barcelona – the Landskate Parks.
