Library Re-Opening Party

After a semester-long closure of the first floor of the Graduate Theological Union library, we want to welcome to GTU community back with a re-opening party. When you return and enter the new library front door on Scenic Drive, you’ll be walking through history, as the Scenic Drive entrance was the original front door when the building was constructed. But this isn’t a library of the past anymore. You’ll find re-arranged collections and new service desks with staff to help you. We have a new gathering spot in the center of the atrium, because like the GTU consortium, the library is the hub and heart of campus.

The entire week of January 23rd-27th we will have tours and re-orientations to familiarize yourself with the library again, and a party on Thursday January 26th from 4-6pm, to bring everyone together.

Come to the library to reconnect with colleagues and classmates—families are welcome! Hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served. Please register any children separately so we can order enough food and beverages for all.

If you can’t make it, we will be recording a walk-through of the first floor and have orientations online. We hope to see you there!
