Young artists and creatives between the ages of 7-13 are invited to join us at the library! With the help of Ms. Stephanie and Ms. Nicole, young artists will explore new art forms and new ways to express themselves. Each week is a different art project!6/03: Transfer Art - Discover the creative medium of transfer art inspired by artist Robert Rauschenberg. Participants will experiment with image transfer techniques using printed pictures to create soft, layered artwork.
6/10: Knotted Keychains - Explore the creative world of knots inspired by artist Windy Chien, whose work transforms everyday knotting techniques into beautiful works of art that inspire awe and understanding. Participants will use colorful plastic lacing to create their own knotted keychains while learning about pattern, texture, and design.
6/17: Air-Dry Clay - Participants will use air-dry clay to sculpt their own dinosaur creations inspired by artist Brett Kern’s playful dinosaur inflatable toy artwork while exploring shape, texture, and creative design.
6/24: Pop Art Painting - Dive into the colorful world of Pop Art with playful paintings inspired by Barrie J Davies. Participants will create bold, vibrant artwork featuring bright colors, expressive designs, and fun character-inspired imagery while exploring the energetic style of contemporary pop and street art.
