The Great Bend Public Library is proud to be chosen to be part of Libraries Transforming Communities: Accessible Small and Rural Communities, a American Library Association initiative that provides community engagement and accessibility resources to small and rural libraries to help them better serve people with disabilities. In conjunction with this grant we will be holding a community discussion to help us understand how the library can be a more accessible place inside and out. If you or someone close to you has mobility challenges, even temporarily, we want to hear from you to help us improve our library's accessibility. Two sessions will be held on May 15th, in-person and on Zoom, at 11 AM and 5: 30 PM. If you would like to find out more about the grant please check out our press release here: https://www.gbtribune.com/news/local-news/great-bend-public-library-receives-10000-national-grant/
