The theme for our third Liberty Homeschool Prom is WILD WILD WEST!This prom is for home school students, ages 14-18, and recent graduates, up to age 21. (If you have a mature 13-year-old who would like to attend, please contact Liberty leadership through Facebook Messenger to discuss.) Public schooled dates are allowed. We will have waltz, swing, country, and contra dances throughout the evening. Guests do not need to know how to dance--contra dances will have a caller!
• Tickets: $50 (Must purchase tickets by April 11th, 2025)
• No date required--come with a friend or group of friends!
• BBQ style meal, tea, soda, and water provided.
• Parents may bring prepared NUT-FREE fruit or dessert for students to enjoy.
• Song requests must be approved by the leadership.
• PROM DRESS CODE REQUIRED (see graphic for information)
The Dress code and PDA will be closely monitored. Those not adhering to the dress code or displaying PDA will be corrected. When asked by leadership to fix the issue, and the third correction does not correct it, it will be an automatic removal from the dance without a refund.
Parents, we need your help! A Sign-up Genius link will be provided through email for volunteers to fill the following positions:
• Chaperone
• Setup
• Take-down/cleanup
• Food Management
• Props and Décor Team
We will also have a signup for desserts!
CODE OF CONDUCT:
RESPECTFUL AND COURTEOUS BEHAVIOR IS EXPECTED AND REQUIRED
The Liberty Dance Fellowship requires all participants, students, and adults, to conduct themselves in a proper manner at all prom functions. Participants are expected to always treat each other with courtesy and respect. Our focus is to honor the Lord in all we say and do.
KEEP SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS RESPECTFUL
Avoid threats, bullying, sexting, or other inappropriate social media posts. These are a violation of our code of conduct and may prevent you from attending prom.
MAINTAIN DRESS CODE ALL EVENING
Your attire should remain compliant with the dress code all evening. Violation of the dress code, including removing any fixes, will result in your removal from prom. Photos taken by the Liberty Dance Fellowship Photographer will not be posted to our photo site if students in a given photo do not meet the dress code.
AVOID PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF AFFECTION
Kissing, caressing, or extended embracing are not appropriate at prom events. Sitting on each other's laps is likewise unacceptable. Both students and adult volunteers are expected to adhere to this standard. The dining area, activity areas, and dance floor are all considered public spaces and as such, students and adults shall refrain from public displays of affection. Failure to refrain is grounds for dismissal from prom.
KEEP DANCING CLEAN
Avoid body-against-body dancing and movements which could be considered provocative such as groping, dirty dancing, or twerking. Moshing and body surfing are not allowed.
BEFORE 10PM, LEAVE PROM ONLY WITH STUDENT ATTENDANT TEAM MEMBERS
Did you leave something in your car? Teams of adults/dance chaperones are available all evening to walk students to their cars. Unfortunately, if you choose to leave unescorted, you will not be allowed back into prom. Any student who wishes to leave before 10 PM will have their parents contacted before being released.
NO SMOKING
Smoking, chewing tobacco, e-cigs, and vaping are not allowed.
NO DRINKING
Consumption of alcoholic beverages at prom events is not allowed.
NO ILLEGAL DRUGS
Code of Conduct violations, including disrespectful or violent behavior, may result in expulsion from the event. Liberty Dance Fellowship reserves the right to respond to any violation(s) by prohibiting the violator(s) from attending any future Liberty Dance Fellowship events, including prom itself.
