🧠✨ Explore Neuroscience, Virtual Reality, and Wearable Technology with the TEEN Lab!
Are you a high school student interested in science, technology, psychology, health, or neuroscience? Don't miss this exciting opportunity! On October 29, 2026, members of the TEEN Lab (Teen Experiences, Emotions, and Neuroendocrinology Lab) at Kean University will be at the Liberty Science Center MiniMed Event (Jersey City, NJ) to share how scientists use cutting-edge technologies to better understand adolescent development, emotions, and mental health.
What You'll Experience
✅ Hands-on demonstrations of wearable devices used in scientific research
✅ Interactive Virtual Reality (VR) experiences used to study social and emotional processes
✅ Opportunities to meet researchers and learn about careers in neuroscience, psychology, health sciences, and STEM
✅ Learn how scientists collect and integrate multiple types of data, including brain activity, hormones, physiological responses, and behavioral measures
Looking for Research Experience?
At the end of our STEM demonstrations, interested families will have the opportunity to schedule a research laboratory visit and learn how high school female students (14-17yr) can become involved in scientific research. This is paid scientific study: parents get Amazon gift card for their child's participation. Our current multimodal research project will complete data collection in December 2026, making this a unique opportunity to see cutting-edge research in action before the study concludes.
Why Participate? Research experience can: Strengthen college applications and resumes Demonstrate initiative and scientific curiosity Provide exposure to real-world research methods Help students explore future careers in STEM, medicine, psychology, and neuroscience Whether youre curious about how the brain works, fascinated by virtual reality, or looking to gain meaningful scientific experience, wed love to meet you at Liberty Science Center, Jersey City!
