Liberation Lounge Day Party Hope in the Dark
About this Event
The night is long, but the hope is still here.
The Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year, a moment when darkness reaches its fullest and the slow return of light begins.
So we gather.
Join Liberation Lounge x UGRC/Black Pride RVA for our annual Winter Solstice celebration, Hope in the Dark, an evening of music, movement, community, and reflection centered on what it means to hold onto hope even when we cannot yet see what comes next.
Hope doesn’t require us to pretend the darkness isn’t real. Sometimes hope is choosing to gather anyway. To laugh anyway. To dance anyway. To tend the light within ourselves and remind one another that none of us has to carry it alone.
And sometimes hope simply looks like good music, good food, good people, and a dance floor.
Expect a DJ, food, drinks, dancing, community connection, and a special Winter Solstice reflection as we honor the darkness, tend the light that remains, and welcome what is waiting to emerge.
Whether you’re a Liberation Lounge regular or joining us for the first time, come as you are.
Come gather close. Come find some joy. Come tend the light with us.
