Born and raised in a small mountain town in Western Colorado, Laird is a captivating, up-and-coming performer and composer on the New York scene. His music draws on the expansive landscapes of his upbringing and the vibrant cityscapes of his current home, merging these influences into a sound that is both deeply rooted and distinctly forward-thinking.

The group, founded in Brooklyn, New York, is comprised of some of the most compelling new voices in New York. At the drum chair is Maliq Wynn, one of the city’s most inspiring young drummers. A fellow Coloradan from Aurora, Wynn brings fire, momentum, and constant inspiration to every musical setting. Bassist Leighton Harrell, a North Carolina native and collaborator of trumpet icon Jeremy Pelt, provides thoughtful support and unwavering solidity, continually showcasing why he's in such demand. Completing the ensemble is Latvian-born composer and guitarist Matiss Cudars, whose orchestral sensibility and guitar virtuosity create rich harmonic landscapes and incisive melodic lines that propel the music to that other space.

Together, the group takes listeners on a dynamic journey that moves from electronic grooves to hard swing, from atmospheric exploration to intimate ballads, and back again.
