LGBTQ+ Social @ Evening Star

Join us and see all the wonderful new amenities on the top floor of The Evening Star and catch up with each other. This event is ideal for making new friends. Or just unwind and enjoy the extended happy hour. It's free to attend. Usually about 40 LGBTQ+ folk attend.

This is all about coming together and connecting in conversation and shared experiences. $5 house highball, $7 glasses of wine and $2 off select draft beers!

Mingle with fabulous LGBTQ+ folk and allies. Go Gay DC founder and leader TJ Flavell will be there to greet you. Bring your friends and meet new people from all over the world.

Casual attire is fine.

You are welcome regardless of where you live. Guests from DC, Maryland, and Virginia often attend. If you are taking the Metro, Braddock Road is closest. Take a bus or Uber from there.

Del Ray is “Where Main Street Still Exists” with made-for-strolling Mount Vernon Avenue dotted with independent shops and a booming scene. Del Ray is also known for its “Wellness District,” a large community of holistic health businesses. Eclectic shops and signature events like contribute to an artsy ambiance.

Evening Star café is a neighborhood gem located in the heart of Del Ray. It combines stellar hospitality with a seasonal menu featuring locally grown produce from its rooftop garden and meats by local farmers in the region. If you haven't been fully vaccinated, have a cough, runny or stuffy nose, fatigue, sore throat, or headache, please just stay home. You can find a vaccine near you by searching on Vaccines.gov . Social distancing is possible in this spacious, well ventilated lounge.
