LGBTQ+ Holiday Happy Hour @ Freddie's!

As Madonna said, "Come join the party..."

There is no cover. Mingle with LGBTQ+ folk and allies. Casual beach attire is fine. We will gather as a group on the heated, front enclosed patio. This fun annual event brings the LGBTQ+ community together for delicious food and conversation. It's free to attend (no cover.) You simply pay for whatever you order on your own separate credit card; there's no group tab to worry about. Just ask the server what the happy hour specials are. New: Titos are on special on Mondays.

This fun event officially starts at 6 p.m. at Freddie's Beach Bar & Restaurant, 555 23rd St. S, Arlington, Virginia 22202.

Party with a purpose: In addition, as ongoing community service, if you can, please clean out your cupboard of unused, nonperishable food items for AFAC, the community leader in providing and promoting dignified access to nutritious food for people in need. This event will serve as a convenient collection point. AFAC distributes over 80,000 pounds of food to more than 2,500 families every week. 40% of that food is donated to AFAC from food drives like this and grocery store donations. More information on what's needed is at http://www.afac.org/donate-food/ Please feel free to bring as much food (cereal, canned goods,etc) as you wish, as it will be picked up that night and delivered to AFAC.

Metro Directions: Be eco-friendly. Crystal City Metro is the closest Metro stop. When you arrive, go out the station, walk towards your left to 18th Street and then veer right and walk under the Route 1 overpass to Eads St. Turn left and walk to 23rd Street. Turn right. Freddie's is up 23rd Street just a block. Just look for the rainbow flags on the right side of the street!

Parking is usually available nearby on the residential side streets.
