Traditionally queer people have been excluded and othered from the embrace of the Abrahamic religions. To what extent is that still the case?Speakers from the Jewish, Christian and Muslim traditions present their views on the way in which texts and traditions have been interpreted to exclude and how they can be reinterpreted in the light of compassion and contemporary understandings of human sexuality.
The speakers are Rabbi Shoshana Kaminsky from Beit Shalom Synagogue, Reverend Associate Professor Matthew Anstey, an Anglican priest in the Diocese of Adelaide and Professor Mohamad Abdalla from the Centre for Islamic Thought and Education.
