About this Event
his LGBT Herstory month has much to offer in queer herstories.
We are off to Soho via Mayfair whilst you hear about all the wonderful LGBT characters whose bravery and grit made them true legends.
We begin at Marble Arch underground entrance and walk through the leafy streets of Mayfair to the back streets of soho.
Joe Carstairs a millionaire whose playgirl lifestyle lead her to date such movie icons as Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo.
The bar and restaurant owner whose secret life lead marriage and ultimately to imprisonment.
The famous bars and nightclubs on route where women dropped by secretly to meet others like them.
Meet outside Marble arch tube station on Oxford street next to the waffle shop.
Wear good walking shoes and bring something to drink.
There will be an option to stay for a drink in one of Soho's most long standing bars.
