About this Event

To celebrate Pride Month, Chicago Methodist Senior Services and the Chicago Public Library, Edgewater Branch are partnering to present an exciting two-part series honoring LGBT+ Chicago history. In the first part, we welcome Tracy Baim, a prolific Chicago-based LGBT+ journalist, editor, author, and filmmaker in a sit-down conversation about LGBT+ history in Chicago.

Make sure to also check out the second part of this series on June 27th! We will be screening a Chicago-based documentary featuring Tracy called, A Secret Love, about a former All-American Girls Professional Baseball League player and her partner, who kept their lesbian relationship a secret from their families for almost 70 years. The film highlights their experience as a same-sex couple with increased health challenges navigating care and worrying whether services will be accepting of their love
