LGBT+ Awareness Training

Four Pillars’ LGBT+ Awareness Training is all about challenging what ‘normal’ means to you. Learn more about the support that is available to members of our community so you are fully informed on who/where to signpost your service users in the future. In this half-day session, you will receive an introduction to LGBT+ terminology with no prior knowledge assumed, understand the forms that LGBT+ discrimination can take (including unconscious bias and microaggressions), and learn practical steps you can take to make every environment you’re in a more inclusive one. In-depth scenarios will give you the opportunity to apply what you learn, and we’ll dive into what the training means for your day-to-day role. This is a hugely interactive session, so be ready to contribute to discussions.
